This page will be updated with more detailed instructions before a new version of the phatIO operation system is available

phatIO has been designed to be upgraded without the use of hardware programmers or software install programs - all updates happen over the phatIO filesystem.

There are two techniques to updating phatIO:

1. Rewrite the entire phatIO disk with a new image.
2. Replace the hex boot image in the PHATIO/io/boot/ directory with the new version and restart.
